On Tuesday, April 7, Women United, in partnership with Citizens and Hanover Insurance, co-hosted their inaugural Power of the Purse event in support of the Great Start Collaborative. With more than 160 women in attendance, the evening proved to be a tremendous success raising $21,000!

Through the sale of gently used handbags in the “purse garage sale,” a silent auction featuring more than 70 purses, and a live auction showcasing four premium designer bags, the event generated strong community support.
