Livingston County United Way will have a new Executive Director as of November 18, 2024. The Board of Directors of Livingston County United Way (LCUW) is pleased to announce that Carrie Newstead from Howell has been selected to be the new leader of the organization.

Newstead has 20+ years of experience in the local banking industry, and is well known throughout Livingston County. She is currently serving on the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and is a past Board of Education member with Fowlerville Community Schools. Newstead has
many years of community engagement through Fowlerville, Howell and Livingston Sunrise Rotary Clubs, as well as being a former Rotary Assistant
District Governor. She has also been involved with Livingston County United Way in various volunteer capacities over the years and is very familiar with the organization.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have Carrie Newstead join our team as Executive Director,” shared Katie Pikkarainen, President of Livingston County United Way. “She will bring many strengths to the organization, such as organizational management, finance background, team building, leadership and a true passion for the greater community.

“The Board of Directors took a focused approach on local candidates, the community relationships and leadership skills of the applicants,” continued Pikkarainen. “Carrie is a proven leader in the community and we are honored to have her lead and grow our organization as we move forward.”
