Livingston County is a strong community with thousands of working families, including 19%* who are living on a paycheck-to-paycheck treadmill. In addition, five percent of residents meet the federal poverty definition. Livingston County United Way works collaboratively with local initiatives to break down barriers and give people a better shot at a good life.
Our work focuses on financial stability initiatives that move families from:
- Crisis-management to solid ground
- Housing and food insecurity to safety and health
- Uncertainty to a better quality of life through education, assistance and empowerment.
